The program included 17 hours of classroom work, followed
by volunteer rotations in various hospital departments.
Daring to Care was
started to promote interest in nursing, but now young men
and women who participate are interested in a wide variety
of healthcare professions. For information about the program,

hospital staff are willing to allow students gain real world
experience by shadowing them at work. Some have volunteer
programs established as well. Please check with your area
